Okay—this is our papa. His name is Michael. He’s a Nurse. And he makes coffee. But like… special coffee.

He made a thing called San Mateo Spark. It’s a coffee cart, which is like an ice cream truck, but for grown-ups who say, “I need coffee,” a lot. And also for nurses, who are superheroes, but quieter.

Our dad didn’t just make coffee because it’s yummy. (It is yummy.) He made it because coffee helps people feel better and nicer and less sleepy and more ready to save the day. Sometimes it even makes people smile at each other, which we think is very important.

San Mateo Spark is not a big building. It’s small and cute and rolls around. Like us when we scoot really fast. It shows up where people need it, like surprise!—here’s coffee! Our dad says that’s called “mobile,” but we just think it’s smart.

He lets people talk when they get coffee. Sometimes they laugh. Sometimes they look tired and then less tired. He says every cup is made with care, which is what he says when he tucks us in, too. So we think that means the coffee is very loved.

Also—we are the idea.
Because when we wake up early, our dad wakes up early.
When we need energy, he needs energy.
And when we need kindness, he makes something kind.

So this is San Mateo Spark.
It’s shiny—but not too shiny.
It’s super cute—but in a friendly way.
And it’s made by our dad.

We’re really proud of him.
